Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched ADV160 at Rs 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). It is the first model from Honda’s ten-product portfolio showcased in India in July 2026 to receive an official price.
Bookings are open nationwide for Rs 5,000 through Honda’s website and authorised dealerships. ADV160 will be sold through both RedWing and BigWing outlets, while deliveries will commence from mid-October 2026.
India’s first E85-compatible scooter
Honda ADV160 is claimed to be India’s first scooter compatible with ethanol-blended fuel up to E85. It uses Honda’s FlexTech technology as part of the company’s multi-pathway strategy for the Indian market. Power comes from a 156.93cc liquid-cooled engine. Honda has not disclosed the India-spec power and torque figures in its price announcement.
Compatibility with E85 means the engine can operate on fuel containing up to 85% ethanol. Availability of such fuel will depend on the local retail infrastructure, although the flexible system allows the scooter to work with lower ethanol blends as well.
Adventure styling, 27-litre storage
ADV160 combines maxi-scooter proportions with adventure-inspired styling. Key elements include a tall windscreen, angular bodywork, stepped seat, raised handlebar and rugged lower panels.
Despite the ADV-inspired appearance, the scooter has been positioned primarily for city commuting, rough urban roads and occasional weekend rides. It offers 27 litres of under-seat storage, providing space for everyday essentials.
Features include a TFT instrument console with Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Honda Selectable Torque Control is also available to reduce rear-wheel slip on loose or slippery surfaces.
Braking duties are handled by discs at both ends, supported by single-channel ABS. The use of rear disc brake and traction control gives the ADV160 a comparatively comprehensive safety package for its segment.
Bookings now officially open
Several Honda dealers had recently advertised bookings for ADV160 on social media, even though HMSI had not issued a nationwide launch announcement at the time. The company has now officially opened bookings and confirmed the price and delivery schedule.
