Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai collected Rs. 1.75-1.85 crore on its second Friday, registering a 20-25 per cent drop from the previous day. The comedy drama, directed by David Dhawan, took its total cume to Rs. 37.75 crore nett at the Indian box office.
The movie is expected to make a sum of Rs. 8 crore in its second weekend, which will take its total cume to Rs. 44 crore nett. The Varun Dhawan starrer is now facing a couple of new Bollywood and Hollywood releases this weekend: Haunted 3D: Echoes Of The Past, Main Vaapas Aaunga, Backrooms, Disclosure Day, Bharat Bhagya Vidhata, and Governor. The holdover, Obsession, continues to dominate the box office amid new releases.
Based on current trends, the movie is heading for a theatrical end of around Rs. 55 crore mark. The previous Varun Dhawan starrer Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsii Kumari collected Rs. 60 crore nett; that might be possible here.
