GTA 6: New Report Says Rockstar’s Upcoming Game Could Earn up to $5.2 Billion in Revenue by the End of Launch Week

Grand Theft Auto 6 could earn up to $5.2 billion by the end of its launch week, as per a new report. This comes from global analytics firm Newzoo, which says Rockstar’s upcoming title has generated roughly $180 million in digital pre-order sales across the US, UK, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain. Based on these pre-order sales, the firm says the title could earn between $3.3 billion and $5.2 billion in “cumulative global sales by the end of launch week.” Additionally, the report says that GTA 6 is on pace for $4.5 billion in sales by launch week. That number translates to roughly 51 million units (at an assumed $88 average selling price). Two video game retailers are even refusing to sell GTA 6 because of a lack of disc.

Surprisingly, however, the “physical” edition of GTA 6 won’t actually come with a disc, but will just contain a code in the box. Two video game retailers are even refusing to sell GTA 6 because of a lack of disc.
