Govinda Brings A Bullet For Sunita Ahuja On Lock Upp 2, Says His Marriage Is Like Jail: 'Maar Le Ab'

In his cheeky style, Govinda quipped that since Sunita wanted to shoot him in the chest, she could do it on the show.

Govinda will be on the show to support Sunita Ahuja.

Govinda is all set to appear on Lock Upp 2 as his wife, Sunita Ahuja, is a contestant on the show. As per the new promo, Govinda left everyone surprised when he showed up on the stage with a bullet after Sunita mentioned that had she been responsible for his previous knee injury, she’d have shot him in the chest instead.

As Govinda met Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, he remarked, “Yeh voh Lock Upp hai jo dikhayi deta hai, jo nahi dikhaye dete voh kayi lock-ups hai, main vahan se aa raha hoon (This is the Lock Upp that everyone can see, but there are many other lock-ups that no one sees. I’ve come from those)."

When Farah Khan brought up Govinda’s past shooting incident, the actor laughed and said, “Arre, main leke aaya hoon jeb mein goli. Main bola seene mein maarna chah rahi thi, maar le ab (I’ve even brought a bullet in my pocket. She said she wanted to shoot me in the chest, so she can go ahead and do it now)."

What Did Sunita Ahuja Say?

For the unversed, in 2024, Govinda accidentally shot himself in the leg while he was cleaning his gun. The actor was rushed to the hospital and kept there for a few days. Later, Shilpa Shetty had jokingly asked the actor if Sunita had shot him.

Speaking to Hindi Rush, Sunita joked, “Govinda ne aadhi baat boli thi. Maine Shilpa ko bola tha ki agar main goli maarti toh pair par na maarti, seene par maarti (Govinda told a half-baked story. I told Shilpa that if I had pulled the trigger, I would’ve shot him in the chest, not on his foot). Kaam karo toh poora karo, nahi toh mat karo (If you are doing something, do it well; otherwise don’t do it)."

The remarks especially caught everyone’s attention as, at the time, there were also rumours that Govinda and Sunita were about to get divorced. While the couple later clarified that they were still together, Sunita publicly mentioned that Govinda had been cheating on her throughout their marriage. She even brought up these claims on Lock Upp 2.

‘Govinda Had Many Affairs, Can’t Say Anything To A Hero’

On the launch day, she said, “Pyaar mein toh aapko har cheez bardasht karna chahiye. Chi Chi (Govinda) ne life mein itne affairs kiye, chalo hero heroine mein toh hote hi hain (In love, you should be able to tolerate everything. Chi Chi had so many affairs in his life; well, heroes and heroines do have such things)…"

In a recent episode, Shreya Kalra asked Sunita if Govinda still cheats on her. Shreya asked Sunita about an old interview in which she spoke about infidelity and how the star wife was cheated in her marriage. Sunita Ahuja said, “Hua toh abhi kya kar sakte hain… shuru se hi hua hain na lekin? Hero hain toh you can’t say anything (What can I do now since it happened from the start? He’s a hero, you can’t say anything)."

Sunita has addressed infidelity many times on Lock Upp 2, maintaining that when she was young, she was taught to endure whatever went on in her marriage and never abandon her partner. She has said that people, especially heroes, cannot be controlled and will likely have affairs.
