How To Watch The Online Broadcast
You can still watch every move of the Global Chess League, even if you're not going to Bengaluru. This year, you can watch the live broadcast of the event on the Global Chess League YouTube channel, as well as on Chess24's YouTube and Twitch and Chess.com India's YouTube. IMs Tania Sachdev and Sagar Shah, along with GMs Sahaj Grover, Harshit Raja, and Irina Krush, will host the broadcast.
Team Lineups
The Global Chess League is known for always attracting a stellar lineup of the world's best chess players. This season did not disappoint, with the return of chess legends like former World Champion GM Viswanathan Anand, world number-one GM Magnus Carlsen, current U.S. Women's champion IM Carissa Yip, and other stars.

Legends Meet Again
After missing last year, Carlsen returns to the Global Chess League as one of the highlights of the event. While every match involving the Norwegian is a treat on its own, day three of the event is especially promising. Carlsen's Alpine APL Pipers will go up against Anand's PBG Alaskan Knights, setting up a generational clash between two legends of the game.

Can Triveni Reclaim The Throne?
The Triveni Continental Kings have been the most dominant team in the League's history. After winning the first two seasons, Triveni dominated the round-robin stage in 2025—but fell short after losing 2-0 to the Alpine Pipers in the final.
This year, they return with most of the same stars from last year, bringing GMs Alireza Firouzja, Wei Yi, Alexandra Kosteniuk, and Zhu Jiner to the battlefield. Now, the question is: can they turn continuity into a third title?

Prodigies Race To The Top
While the established heavyweights will bring exciting battles to the Icon and Superstar boards, you won't want to sleep on this year's Prodigies. Among the many players to watch, former World Rapid Champion Volodar Murzin and the youngest grandmaster in history, Abhimanyu Mishra, are making their debut in the League. Other Prodigy highlights include GM Leon Luke Mendonca, who won the title in 2025, and GM Bardiya Daneshvar, who led the category with 7.5/10 last year.
