Following AMD’s release of AGESA 1.3.0.1c and Gigabyte’s own memory optimization technology, AM5 motherboards across both the 800 and 600 series now support CXSH (CXMT) chip-based memory, including 16Gb and 24Gb densities.
These DIMMs can now stably operate at speeds of up to 8200MT/s, overcoming previous AM5 platform limitations and providing greater performance headroom for builders.On the Intel side, Gigabyte’s 800 and 700 series motherboards support CXSH (CXMT) chip-based memory out of the box, requiring no additional BIOS updates.
This ensures seamless compatibility for users building or upgrading systems on Intel platforms.With DDR5 supply tight and prices rising, CXSH (CXMT) chip-based memory provides an additional source of availability.
It is powered by AMD Ryzen processor, and is aimed to deliver gaming as well as AI-ready computing experiences by utilising AMD technologies.
