This week, the Internet is flooded with viral content from Apple’s much-awaited annual September event in Cupertino. As always, it essentially lays out the tech plans for us Apple users for the year ahead. The Cupertino giant made a splash with its first ever folding iPhone, new iPhone models, new Apple Watches and a new iteration of AirPod. Here are our five favourite things from the keynote, that we are eager to try later this month.

Content is king
This is our favourite part of all! We cannot wait to try out the iPhone 18 Pro’s new Camera features. For starters, on the 48 MP Fusion Main camera, you can now adjust the aperture or shutter speed on your photos and videos, allowing you to play around even more with your content. The new iPhone adds more Photographic Styles, letting you experiment with texture and grain control - perfect for those portrait shots or even fashion content. If you dabble with video, now you can add Cinematiceffects to regular video, even after it’s been shot. Time-lapse mode gets an upgrade and lets you shoot in 4K, while
There’s also the new Apple Reference Image - a digital negative, of sorts - where alongside your photo, you get an unalterable reference image, which essentially seals the authenticity of a photo taken, so you can visually cross check for any edits made, if ever you get into an AI snafu!

Without any design changes as such, the new Apple Watch Series 12 goes bullish on its health agenda, integrating multiple health metrics and is henceforth far more interactive with the wearer on daily fitness and health touchpoints. We do love the new Readiness feature that analyses your overnight vitals and sleep score to advise you how to take on the day and to what extent to train. The new watch gets even more authentic with respect to heart rate frequency and variability.
There’s also an Audio Intelligence integration on the watch, which will listen to important sounds and issue alerts, or even summarise a conversation if required. We’ve got our eyes on the new ceramic finish of the Apple Watch Series 12. The Health App that pairs beautifully with the Apple Watch also gets a major redesign
Going Burgundy
The new iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max come in a deliciously rich burgundy colour tone, while is likely to be the most sought-after colour of the season. On that subject, the iPhone Pro and Pro Max come kitted with the new A20 Pro chip and boasts a heavily enhanced battery life - a question most frequently asked about these phones, which do not get any cosmetic changes as such, barring a redesigned Dynamic Island (the little information blurb at the top of the phone), which now shows up to three live activities at once. If you’re a heavy camera user and are often worried about the phone heating up - the new thermal management system is designed to combat this. The new iPhones are, more than ever, playing the Artificial Intelligence game, with an integrated Siri AI, taking on the likes of ChatGPT and Claude, with aplomb. A debate best left for another time!
Kids and Content Creators
This little feature is small but cute - on the back screen of the iPhone Duo, you can display cartoons and animations, with Kid Cue, while photographing your kids, to get them to look in the direction of the camera. As for content creators, the way you self-shoot just got better, with a camera feature, Smart Take, that senses when you have struck a pose and automatically clicks. Or bloggers can now see themselves being shot from the outer screen on the iPhone Duo. Features that are not just tokenism, but will be used heavily on a daily basis.

And finally - a folding iPhone was long speculated but we got a confirmation when Apple’s new CEO John Ternus unveiled the iPhone Duo. And the Internet can’t get enough, making it potentially the most talked about tech device of 2026. The starting price point of Rs, 3 lakh, in itself has sparked multiple debates and memes. The thinnest iPhone ever made features a 7.6 inch inner display (almost an iPad Mini, if you will), great to consume content, edit videos and effectively multitask - in both landscape and portrait orientations. Once the phone snaps shut, you get a 5.4 inch outer display, sufficient enough for heavy-duty daily use, and content switches effortlessly between aspect ratios. All this powered by the new A20 Pro chip. That’s all we know for now - the iPhone Duo hits the market in October, so watch out for a more detailed review soon.
