Additionally, Kichcha Sudeepa is said to be actively developing four more projects spanning diverse genres and storytelling formats. As Kichcha Sudeepa is set to mark his return to the director’s chair, official announcements regarding these upcoming projects are expected in the coming months.

According to our sources close to the development, the South star is looking forward to getting into a director’s seat. Following Mark, the actor-filmmaker largely stayed away from the spotlight regarding his upcoming ventures. However, that phase of silence now appears to be giving way to one of the most ambitious creative periods of his career.

His next release is Billa Ranga Baashaa (BRB) , the much-anticipated collaboration with director Anup Bhandari. The film is being mounted on a grand scale and is set in the futuristic world of 2209. The project had completed an initial shooting schedule before production was paused during the making of Mark. It is now expected to resume filming in June 2026.

Additionally, Kichcha Sudeepa is said to be actively developing four more projects spanning diverse genres and storytelling formats. Among them is a film that could mark his long-awaited return to direction. The actor-filmmaker last helmed Maanikya in 2014. Over the years, audiences have consistently expressed interest in seeing him return behind the camera.

Maanikya is an action drama that follows an architect who returns from abroad to reform his ancestral village, only to uncover deep-rooted family feuds, betrayals, and the truth about his exiled parents. The film was both a massive commercial success and critically acclaimed. It was also a remake of Mirchi, starring Prabhas .

Recently, Lokesh Kanagaraj sparked a buzz with a social media post captioned, “A lot to talk, a lot to plan.” This led to widespread speculation about a possible collaboration or future creative discussions between the two filmmakers.
