© GettyDuan Jansen, the twin brother of Marco, has earned his maiden international call-up for South Africa’s white-ball tour of Namibia.
It will be South Africa’s first T20I series since the T20 World Cup earlier this year, with several regulars being rested.
“We saw glimpses of what Connor and Nqobani can offer during the T20I series against New Zealand earlier this year," he said.

Duan Jansen, the twin brother of Marco, has earned his maiden international call-up for South Africa’s white-ball tour of Namibia. The new-look squad will be led by left-arm spinner Bjorn Fortuin for the T20I tri-series, which will be followed by three ODIs.
It will be South Africa’s first T20I series since the T20 World Cup earlier this year, with several regulars being rested. Aside from Duan, the other player yet to play T20Is is Eathan Bosch, brother of Corbin Bosch.
Connor Esterhuizen, Jordan Hermann, and Nqobani Mokoena have also earned their first ODI call-ups.
Jordan debuted in the New Zealand T20Is in March, but picked up an injury during the first game, which remains his only South Africa appearance to date. His brother, wicketkeeper-batter Rubin, has also been included.
Speaking on the squad, coach Shukri Conrad called it a “great opportunity for players to build on their international caps”.
“We saw glimpses of what Connor and Nqobani can offer during the T20I series against New Zealand earlier this year," he said. "It was unfortunate that Jordan picked up an injury in the opening match of that series, so we’re looking forward to seeing him get another opportunity at this level.
“This tour has also opened the door for players who have performed domestically. Duan is one of those players. He is a quality all-rounder who has also shown great character for the Titans.
“Bjorn is an experienced player and proven leader who has successfully captained the Lions, and we have every confidence in his ability to lead this group.
From South Africa’s list of centrally-contracted players, Dewald Brevis, Tony de Zorzi and Kwena Maphaka have been included.
The T20I tri-series involving the hosts and Zimbabwe will run from August 28 to September 6, followed by the ODIs against the home team from September 9 to 13.
