As per BookMyShow, Drishyam 3 has already sold over 650K tickets. Previously, Drishyam 3 surpassed Patriot and became the second-highest Malayalam pre-seller of all time. The biggest seller in this category was L2 Empuraan, which also starred Mohanlal, alongside actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran. The producers of the film shared on social media that globally, over 10 lakh tickets have already been sold for the Mohanlal-starrer. The film is releasing amid much anticipation as it appears to continue the story of Georgekutty and his family, and from the trailer, it looks like the ghosts of their past have come back to haunt them. It is yet to be known if the franchise will continue beyond the third part.

The actor is turning 66 on Thursday, May 21. Drishyam 3 will chronicle the lives of Georgekutty and his family a few years after the events of Drishyam 2 (2021), when they had a close call as the secret they had all been guarding almost got exposed. The franchise follows a middle-class family of four who are embroiled in a murder case, but have managed to get away with it, so far.
