Malayalam film Drishyam 3 continues to storm the box office. The movie fetched another Rs. 6.60 crore on its first Monday, registering a 40 per cent drop from the opening day. The 5-day cume of Drishyam 3 now stands at Rs. 45.20 crore gross at the Kerala box office.
The Mohanlal starrer is all set to surpass the Rs. 50 crore mark by Tuesday night. The movie is heading to close its first week at around Rs. 57-60 crore. From here on, it has a strong chance of entering the Rs. 100 crore club, too, in its full run, and challenging the top grossers.
For the unversed, the original film was an Industry Hit, while the second instalment missed the theatrical release due to lockdown. However, the latest instalment is there to fill all the void for its cult fanbase. It will be interesting to see whether Drishyam 3 can surpass Lokah Chapter One: Chandra and Vaazha 2 in Kerala and emerge as the new Industry Hit.
