CHENNAI: Actor Trisha Krishnan has returned to social media with a series of cryptic Instagram Stories, days after the controversy surrounding former Tamil Nadu deputy chief minister Udhayanidhi Stalin ’s alleged double-meaning remark involving her.The actor first shared pictures from her grandmother’s 98th birthday celebrations before posting two posts on her Instagram story that have caught attention amid the ongoing controversy.One of the posts read: “Drama at this age is embarrassing… Go make some money and find peace.”She followed it with another message with an evil eye emoji: “What a privilege it is to be overwhelmed by a life you once prayed for.”The posts mark Trisha’s first apparent social media activity following the latest controversy involving her name.The actress did not mention Udhayanidhi, the controversy or any other individual in either of the posts.However, their timing, coming after days of controversy and legal action over the alleged remark, has sparked speculation on social media.Adding to the attention around the posts, Trisha’s mother also shared a cryptic Instagram Story.The post carried the caption “Last one, Best One” and listed reminders including working out, skincare, drinking water, making money, being nice to people and “mind your business.”Like Trisha’s posts, her mother’s message did not directly refer to Udhayanidhi or the controversy.The controversy began after Udhayanidhi addressed a protest meeting in Thanjavur over the Cauvery water issue.During the event, members of the gathering reportedly chanted Trisha’s name, following which Udhayanidhi allegedly made a double-meaning remark involving the actor.The remark triggered a political and legal row, with Thanjavur police registering a case against Udhayanidhi under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Information Technology Act and the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act.Udhayanidhi was subsequently arrested from his Chennai residence and taken to Thanjavur for questioning.
