Ashoke Pandit reveals the truth behind Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar's row
In the podcast, Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) chief advisor Ashoke Pandit detailed what actually happened that led to the association issuing a non-cooperation against Ranveer Singh. The senior filmmaker stated that after Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment filed a complaint, they approached the Bajirao Mastani to share his side of the story.
But Singh ignored multiple formal notices from them. He eventually responded that the issue doesn’t fall within FWICE’s jurisdiction. Ashoke detailed, “We wanted Ranveer to come, sit, and solve this issue. But he said (to FWICE) that this is not your jurisdiction, you don’t have to do anything with this issue.”
“Then we said that if you’re not ready to sit, work… Earlier, industry biggies like Aamir Khan discussed the issue before it came to the federation. That also didn’t work. So, I think when a man is successful, it’s important for that person to move around with people,” Pandit exclaimed.

He further stated, “Agar aap aatey aur humare saath baithtey toh ho sakta hai, we could have gotten a different point of view. Maybe humney jo kiya humko lagta galat hai, nhi hona chahiye tha. But ye tab hoga possible jab aake saath baithoge. (If you had come and sat with us, then we could have gotten a different point of view. Maybe we would have thought what we did was wrong and shouldn’t have been done. But this was only possible if you had agreed to sit down and talk.)”
He further stated that there are WhatsApp chats of Ranveer Singh, Farhan Akhtar, and Riteish Siddhani post Dhurandhar Part 1, which made them take the strong decision against Singh.
“You know that Dhurandhar is a success, so there should be things done in Don 3 that look the part of the film’s family. That could come to mind, and it did,” he expressed.
