Choudhary approached the court under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005.
She also placed an affidavit before the court attesting to the alleged domestic violence meted out to her earlier, along with photographs reflecting prima facie injuries on her body and a pen drive containing audio recordings in support of the allegations.
Her counsel submitted that she had apprehensions that she may be subjected to further domestic violence.
Her counsel added that there was also a possibility of Sahu creating a public scene during the June 10 premiere of her film Momacu.
It was argued that while a temporary protection order would cause no prejudice to Sahu, denial of immediate relief could result in grave injustice to Choudhary and adversely affect both her safety and professional commitments.
