CWG 2026 Medal Tally: India placed 10th after Day 9; Neeraj wins silver in javelin throw; Tejaswin wins decathlon bronze

India clinched six medals, including two gold, on Day 9 of the Commonwealth Games 2026 on Friday. Asmita bagged India’s first-ever yellow metal in judo in Games history before Harsh became the first Indian man to clinch gold in the sport. Yamini then lost out in her final to clinch silver and take India’s tally to 20 at the ongoing edition. Tejaswin then held on to his third position to win India’s first-ever CWG medal in decathlon. Then, a double podium ensued for India with Neeraj Chopra taking silver in the men’s javelin throw as Yash Vir Singh bagged bronze.
