Despite transfer interest from Liverpool, Sarr’s absence was outlined as a groin injury during Sage’s pre-match presser.
“Ismaila Sarr is in individual sessions; he is in pain with his groin, and that’s why he didn’t train with us today,” highlighted Sage.
New signing Axel Disasi is expected to make the squad and Sage was full of praise for the Chelsea loanee,
“He is ready, he had his first session with us today and gives us confidence with his experience. That’s why he’s a good addition for us.”

New City manager Enzo Maresca will be without Jeremy Doku for the trip to Selhurst Park and Matheus Nunes is a doubt for the clash on Friday night.
“Jeremy is out, Matheus we will see; he is still not 100%,” outlined Maresca.
New £86m signing Ayyoub Bouaddi is in line to make his debut for City after joining from Lille and manager Maresca was full of praise for the teenager.
“He doesn’t look 18, he looks older, which is important, but in this case we need to go slowly because he is young and came from another country,” said Maresca.
