A 29-year-old school teacher was stabbed to death in broad daylight inside a private school in Haryana's Faridabad on Monday, with the chilling attack captured on CCTV cameras.
According to police, she had reached the school around 9.30 am as usual when the accused allegedly arrived with his face covered by a white cloth and asked to meet her.
As she reached the main gate, Amit allegedly pounced on her, dragged her and repeatedly stabbed her with a knife.
The CCTV footage, which has since gone viral on social media, shows the masked accused waiting inside the school premises for several minutes before launching the attack.
The attacker then returns to Sandhya and stabs her again before fleeing the school premises.

Police said she suffered more than 20 stab wounds, while preliminary inputs suggest she was stabbed 27 times, with injuries concentrated on her face, neck, chest and abdomen. The CCTV footage, which has since gone viral on social media, shows the masked accused waiting inside the school premises for several minutes before launching the attack. The footage has also raised serious questions over security arrangements, as no security guard is seen on the campus and no one appears to question the man's presence despite him loitering inside the school. The video further shows Sandhya desperately trying to escape as the attacker chases and repeatedly stabs her. Even after she collapses, the accused continues the assault. In one of the most disturbing moments captured on camera, school administrator Tejpal rushes to intervene. However, the accused turns towards him while brandishing the knife, forcing him to retreat. The attacker then returns to Sandhya and stabs her again before fleeing the school premises. By the time other staff members and women reach the spot, Sandhya is lying motionless on the ground. "I tried to warn the young man and shouted, 'What are you doing? Stop!' But he charged at me with the knife. I started looking for something to use as a weapon, but by then he had struck her several times and fled," Tejpal said. He added that the attacker escaped on a motorcycle without a number plate parked outside the school. Sandhya was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Police said preliminary investigation revealed that Amit had become acquainted with Sandhya around two years ago when he was studying at a private school in her village. Despite her unwillingness to engage with him, he allegedly continued stalking and harassing her. According to investigators, Sandhya had recently threatened to file a police complaint against Amit over his alleged harassment. She had also lodged a molestation complaint against him a few days ago, following which he had publicly apologised. Police suspect the murder was carried out in retaliation for that incident. advertisement An FIR has been registered at Sector 58 police station, and the accused was arrested within hours of the attack. Police said he is being questioned and will be produced before a local court on Tuesday.
