BSNL revenue rises 10% on-year to ₹4,418 crore in Q1FY27: Jyotiraditya Scindia

NEW DELHI: State-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited’s ( BSNL ) revenue from operations has risen by 10% to ₹4,418 crore in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2027 (Q1FY27), led by improved performance of its enterprise business and consumer mobility verticals.“Directly from business operations, we have posted close to a 10% increase in revenue over last year. Last year we closed Q1 at ₹4,017 crores. This year we closed Q1 at ₹4,418 crores. And this is just pure business. This does not include other income and other operating income,” Union Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia said during a press conference.“This is basically from the three verticals: enterprise, business, CFA, and consumer mobility.”Its enterprise business’ revenue grew from ₹1,463 crore in Q1FY26 to ₹1,745 crore in Q1FY27, representing a 19.2% annual increase. Consumer mobility grew from ₹1,594 crore to ₹1,724 crore, or an 8% increase during this period.CFA revenue, however, declined to ₹948 crore in Q1 FY27 from ₹960 crore in Q1FY26.Scindia, though, said these are provisional figures, and final results will be released in a week.“Our five top circles in terms of growth are Chhattisgarh (135%), Rajasthan (130%), Maharashtra (127%), and Assam at about 121%,” Scindia said. “Circles that have outperformed their targets are Jharkhand (123%), Chhattisgarh (122%), and Uttarakhand (118%).”“This indeed is the beginning of a good beginning to the year.
