Eid Milad-un-Nabi, the birthday of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad, is being celebrated with religious fervour in various parts of the country today.
“Milaad Mehfils” and “Seerat Conferences” will be held, highlighting the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad.
In a social media post, the President said that the festival of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi is an occasion to remember the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.
She noted that the teachings of Prophet Muhammad inspire the citizens of the country to embrace the spirit of righteousness and duty.
Speaking on the significance of the occasion, Gausia Samiti spokesperson Nazrul Islam said that Prophet Muhammad had spread the message of peace across the world.

The President encouraged all to draw inspiration from the lofty ideals of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’s life and actively contribute to building an inclusive and developed nation.
The Vice President also shared best wishes to the citizens on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi. He wished that this sacred occasion inspire all to uphold the values of compassion, harmony and mutual respect, and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood. Mr Radhakrishnan expressed hope that the festival would bring peace, happiness and prosperity to all.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended greetings to citizens on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi. In a social media post, Mr Modi expressed hope that this occasion furthers togetherness and joy all around the world.
The Prime Minister wished that the spirit of kindness and giving back to society always guides the countrymen.
On the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, the Tripura Gausia Samiti organised a grand religious procession, known as Jashne Julus, in Tripura today.
The procession began from the Indranagar Gausia Samiti premises and passed through various parts of the city. Muslim men and women from different areas gathered at the Gausia Samiti premises before joining the procession.
Speaking on the significance of the occasion, Gausia Samiti spokesperson Nazrul Islam said that Prophet Muhammad had spread the message of peace across the world.
He said the procession was organised to spread the Prophet’s message of peace and harmony. He also appealed to people from all communities and religions to participate together in the Jashne Julus and promote communal harmony and unity.
