The Titans had high expectations from their opening pair of Shubman Gill and B Sai Sudharsan in the crucial clash, but both failed to make an impact.

While Sudharsan was unfortunate to be dismissed hit wicket after scoring 14 runs off 9 balls, Gill managed only 2 runs from 3 deliveries before being dismissed by Bhuvneshwar on the first ball of the fourth over.

Despite their low scores in Qualifier 1, Sudharsan and Gill continue to occupy the top two spots in the Orange Cap race.

Apart from Patidar, Virat Kohli also made a valuable contribution for RCB with a 43-run knock. The innings helped Kohli take his tally to 600 runs in IPL 2026, moving him to fourth place in the list of highest run-scorers this season.

GT fast bowler Kagiso Rabada also picked up 2 wickets for 54 runs in his four overs on Tuesday and now has 26 wickets to his name in IPL 2026. However, due to a better economy rate than Rabada, Bhuvneshwar currently holds the Purple Cap.

Archer, who is set to feature in the Eliminator match of IPL 2026 against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday (May 27) in New Chandigarh, has taken 21 wickets in 14 matches so far this season.
