Kangana Ranaut's Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata recorded a low opening at the Indian box office. Directed by Manoj Tapadia, the movie collected Rs. 1 crore on its opening day, which is a dull start. This opening day collection came along with a Buy-One-Get-One offer. That said, if there had been no offer, the real figure would have been much lower. It is expected to collect Rs. 3 to 5 crore in its opening weekend at the Indian box office.
Co-starring Girija Oak, Smita Tambe, and others, the female-led thriller drama released without any buzz or anticipation among the audience. None of its promotional assets could ignite an organic interest in the audience, which is why the movie doesn't have much expectation to do well at the box office.
It was released alongside a couple of other Bollywood and Hollywood films this weekend, which include Main Vaapas Aaunga, Governor, Backrooms, Disclosure Day, and others. To record a successful run, the Kangana Ranaut starrer needs to see a miraculous growth over the weekend and then a strong hold on weekdays, which so far seems unlikely, as the word-of-mouth is quite mixed.
Kangana Ranaut has been going through a rough patch for a long time. Her last release was Emergency, which was again a flop. It will be interesting to see whether Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata can surpass Emergency in its full run or not.
