Bangladesh: Measles and dengue fever outbreaks 2026

Bangladesh health authorities report 990 additional suspected measles cases in the past 24 hours. This brings the outbreak total since March 15 to 123,753 cases.

15,442 of the cases have been laboratory confirmed.

The death toll in now 820 total cases, including 95 deaths among confirmed cases, following four additional deaths during the past 24 hours.

Dengue fever

The number of dengue fever cases in Bangladesh has topped 13,000 this year as the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) reported 458 new patients and three deaths in the past 24 hours.

This brings the total dengue cases and deaths to 13,098 and 43, respectively.

The divisions reporting the most cases include Barishal (3,002), Chattogram (2,270), Dhaka South City Corporation-DSCC (1,869) and Khulna (1,684).

DSCC accounts for 15 of the 43 deaths this year.
