The Self-Enumeration facility for Census 2027 has commenced in Assam from today.
The Self Enumeration process aims to make the Census process more participatory, convenient and citizen-friendly by enabling people to provide information from their homes.
The Self Enumeration facility will remain available until August 16, ahead of the Houselisting Operation and Housing Census scheduled to begin on August 17.
One of the key features of the facility is that it allows households to complete their Census details in advance before the visit of enumerators.
After the Self Enumeration period ends, trained enumerators will conduct the Houselisting Operation and Housing Census from August 17 to September 15, during which the submitted information will be verified and confirmed.
