Archana’s sons were seated in the front row and could also be seen laughing at the joke.Following the episode, Aaryamann addressed the reactions surrounding the comment and clarified that he did not take Samay’s words personally.“There has been a lot of uproar on the internet over Samay’s joke. He also says that both her sons are jobless and that Parmeet does not do any work, while Mom is the only one who earns,” Aaryamann said.He thanked those who came out in support of his family but also pointed out that many people agreed with Samay’s joke.“A lot of people have publicly supported us, and I want to say that I love you and thank you so much for standing up for us. It is really sweet. At the same time, many people said, ‘Yes, this is exactly how they are. He is right,’” he added.Aaryamann explained that he usually does not respond to such comments but felt it was worth addressing this time because he found the joke harmless.“I usually don’t say anything, but I felt we should say something this time because I think it is very funny. I have also done a home tour for him and even brought him a gift,” Aaryamann revealed.He further spoke about his equation with the comedian, saying they have continued to interact even after the episode.“He has been very kind to me. I have played paddle with him, we text each other, and I even messaged them after his special. So our relationship is good, and obviously he is not trying to insult or hurt anyone,” he said.Aaryamann also addressed the larger debate around comedy and whether comedians sometimes cross a line.“I understand that people say everyone has a line and that sometimes it gets crossed. But when the person making the joke and the person the joke is about are both okay with it, I don’t think it is so important that everyone else gets upset,” he said.He added that comedy has increasingly become more sensitive, with people taking jokes personally.“I think comedy has become very sensitive these days. Everything is taken very seriously, but it is a joke,” Aaryamann said. Concluding his reaction, he made it clear that Samay’s words would not define him. “What he says won’t make me who I am. I will remain who I am,” Aaryamann said. Archana Puran Singh also shared her perspective, reminding her son not to let other people’s opinions affect him.
