Apple’s iPhone Ultra foldable is launching next month, and most of us know it is going to cost a bomb. Now, a new report gives more information on the parts of the iPhone foldable and there’s a warning for people with butter fingers.

Break that iPhone fold screen and get ready to pay over Rs 1 lakh to get it fixed. Foldable screens are costly to make so Apple charging as much $1000 (Rs 96000 approx) is hardly surprising but people buying this foldable need to know the price they might be paying for any carelessness.

iPhone Fold Ultra Is Going To Be Costly

Apple’s foldable parts details have been mentioned by The Mac Observer, quoting a UK-based repair firm, which says, the inner screen on the iPhone Ultra will cost around GBP 850 or $1,555 which takes it well over Rs 1 lakh to fix.

This is much higher than what Samsung has charged for the inner fold screen on the Galaxy Z Fold models that don’t come cheap but sound a lot more manageable at around GBP 594 or Rs 76,800 approx.

Apple always puts a premium on the parts used on its devices and the Ultra, tipped to cost over Rs 2 lakh, taking 50 percent of the product cost on the fold screen tells you how it will sell the product.

There is a lot of talk around Apple using a creaseless display, sourced through Samsung’s display unit, which might prove to be costlier than what we have seen in the market till date. We’ll get more details on September 9 when Apple is expected to bring this device along with the iPhone 18 Pro series.

Apple has given some people a golden chance to test its first iPhone Ultra foldable ahead of the much-anticipated September 2026 launch. Bloomberg says they got to experience the product, get a hands-on look and feel and share their feedback of testing the iPhone Ultra including the features and other aspects of the device.

Apple doesn’t usually have a history of allowing people to test its devices before they are publicly unveiled but this seems like a unique case for a product that the whole industry is waiting to see in person.
