Adding to the high anticipation surrounding Apple’s upcoming new products, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has revealed the possibility of Apple introducing a couple of new features in the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, making them even more appealing to health-conscious users. Gurman has further added that Apple is testing two finishes for the rumoured ceramic version ahead of its launch.
New upgrades to health monitoring
The two new features that are expected to make their way to the final prototype would be the always-on heart-rate tracking system and an all-new app design, which would make it much easier to learn from your health data. Talking about the new application, Gurman says that Apple is working on revamping its Fitness and Health app software to show more wellness-related metrics in a similar fashion to increasingly popular app offerings from Whoop and Oura.

Gurman expects ordinary changes with the new Series 12 Apple Watch. These would include faster performance and improvements to health and fitness tracking. The new heart-rate sensor would continuously collect data throughout the day, and the improved application will show a more comprehensive status of your health.
Gurman skipped any mention of the SE 4 coming this year. Adding to the health upgrades he mentioned, Apple is still working on and developing a blood sugar detection feature, with the goal of releasing it by 2030.
