Apple Arcade is set to expand its puzzle selection in September with two contrasting titles: Block Blast!+ and Art of Fauna: Cozy Puzzles+. Both games will be added to the subscription service on September 3, alongside several other titles and updates to existing games.
Block Blast!+ brings the widely played block puzzle game to Apple Arcade in a version without advertising. The game is built around a straightforward grid mechanic in which players place differently shaped blocks, clearing rows and columns as they work towards higher scores and longer combinations.
The move brings one of mobile gaming’s more recognisable puzzle titles to Apple’s subscription platform. Block Blast! has become particularly prominent on smartphones, with app intelligence firm Appfigures estimating hundreds of millions of lifetime installs. The game has also continued to attract a large active audience, despite its relatively simple premise.
For existing players, the Arcade edition changes one of the more noticeable aspects of the standard mobile experience: advertising. Apple says Block Blast!+ will be playable without ad interruptions, while the game will be available as part of the Arcade subscription rather than relying on advertising during play.
The second September addition takes a markedly different approach. Art of Fauna: Cozy Puzzles+, which received the 2025 App Store Award for Cultural Impact, combines jigsaw-style puzzles with artwork inspired by wildlife and the natural world. Completing puzzles gradually opens up stories connected to animals and conservation.
The game is designed around a slower pace, with accessibility options intended to make the experience easier to approach for a wider range of players. Rather than focusing solely on increasingly difficult puzzles, it uses the artwork and accompanying stories to give the game a more narrative-driven quality.
The two releases will join a growing collection of puzzle games already available through Apple Arcade, including Grindstone, Flow Free+ and Crossword Jam+. Recent additions to the category include Everyday Puzzles: Mini Games+ and Water Sort Puzzle: Get Color+.

Apple is also preparing updates for several existing Arcade games before the September launches. puffies. is due to receive 28 new packs on August 12, including collections featuring artwork from Oden Tomodachi and The Knights. Simon’s Cat - Blast Time will add 200 levels from August 20, with 50 arriving each week over four weeks.
Meanwhile, stitch. is set to mark the addition of its 800th unique hoop on August 26 with a commemorative hoop and achievement.
September will also bring a wider selection of games beyond puzzles. NFL Retro Bowl ’27 is scheduled to arrive with a new Gauntlet Mode, while Coloring Games for Families+ will offer more than 3,000 creative activities. Let’s Play! Oink Games+ will add nine tabletop titles, with options for solo play, local multiplayer and online games.
Together, the releases point to Apple Arcade continuing to broaden its catalogue across different styles of play, while using established mobile games, new releases and regular content updates to keep the subscription library changing.
