Actor Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli made a rare public appearance together on the streets of London on Tuesday morning, where they were clicked enjoying a casual stroll. Photographs of the couple quickly went viral on social media, with fans sharing the pictures widely.
Kohli was seen dressed casually in a green sweatshirt and jeans, while Anushka opted for leggings, a T-shirt, a jacket and a cap. In one of the photographs, the former Indian cricketer was seen speaking to a woman while holding on to a pram believed to belong to the couple’s son, Akaay. The toddler, however, was not visible in any of the pictures.

According to posts shared by fan handles, Anushka and Virat were clicked outside Akaay’s day nursery. The couple appeared to be standing on a footpath when they were photographed. In one of the pictures, Anushka appeared visibly uncomfortable with the attention, with the actor looking upset as cameras captured the family outing.
Anushka and Virat have largely kept their children, Vamika and Akaay, away from the public eye and have repeatedly requested privacy for their family. The couple reportedly moved to London with their children to provide them with a relatively private and normal upbringing away from the intense public attention in India.
The latest sighting comes weeks after the couple were clciked together in Delhi last month. Anushka and Virat have also been making regular visits to spiritual destinations, including Neem Karoli Baba’s ashram at Kainchi Dham in Nainital and his ashram in Vrindavan, to seek spiritual guidance.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli got married in an intimate ceremony in Italy in December 2017. The couple welcomed their daughter, Vamika, in 2021, followed by their son, Akaay, in 2024.
Earlier, speaking to YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, Dr Sriram Nene recalled meeting the couple and said he had “a lot of respect” for the cricketer, describing him as “just a decent human being”. He also recalled a conversation with Anushka about the couple’s plans to move to London.
According to Dr Nene, Anushka and Virat felt that the constant attention they received in India made it difficult for them to enjoy their success and lead a normal life. He said the couple wanted to raise their children away from the intense public scrutiny that has often followed their family.
Meanwhile, Anushka has largely stayed away from acting since Zero, which released in 2018. She later completed Chakda Xpress, in which she portrays former Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. However, the film is yet to be released.
