Anthropic introduces Claude Reflect to help you understand your AI usage better

Anthropic has unveiled a new usage analytics dashboard for Claude that resembles the annual “Wrapped” features popularised by streaming platforms and AI services. Unlike those year-end recaps, however, Anthropic’s tool is called Claude Reflect, and it goes beyond simply summarising how users have interacted with the chatbot. According to Anthropic, Claude Reflect is designed to encourage more mindful use of AI rather than simply showcasing usage statistics. Anthropic says the information displayed remains within Claude Reflect and is not used for any other purpose. The feature will track the amount of time users spend interacting with Claude, reinforcing the company’s broader goal of promoting healthier and more intentional AI usage rather than maximising engagement.

The feature will be available in beta for Free, Pro, and Max users who have enabled Memory. According to Anthropic, Claude Reflect is designed to encourage more mindful use of AI rather than simply showcasing usage statistics.

Accessible through the Settings menu in Claude’s web and desktop apps, the dashboard generates personalised summaries of a user’s activity over the past one, three, six, or 12 months. It highlights the topics users have engaged with most, identifies usage patterns, and categorises interactions using Anthropic’s 4D AI Fluency Framework: Delegation, Description, Discernment, and Diligence.

Rather than displaying a simple count of conversations, Claude Reflect provides a structured overview of how users collaborate with AI over time. Anthropic said the feature was developed in partnership with the MIT Media Lab, the Digital Wellness Lab at Boston Children’s Hospital, and the Family Online Safety Institute.

The company also clarified that Incognito chats and health-related conversations are excluded entirely from the dashboard. Anthropic says the information displayed remains within Claude Reflect and is not used for any other purpose.

Beyond usage insights, the dashboard also includes reflective prompts such as, “What’s the one thing you want to keep doing yourself, even if Claude could do it faster?” Users can also set quiet hours and schedule reminders encouraging them to take breaks from AI.

Anthropic says it is also working on a Time Spent view that will be added to the dashboard in the future. The feature will track the amount of time users spend interacting with Claude, reinforcing the company’s broader goal of promoting healthier and more intentional AI usage rather than maximising engagement.
