Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the lead roles, collected Rs. 3.50 crore to Rs. 3.75 crore on its first Monday, registering a nearly 60 per cent drop from the opening day. This significant dip was already expected as the reception was not in its favor. However, the movie has done decently well over the weekend to put up a respectable total by the end of its full run.
Based on current trends, Alpha is expected to close its first week around Rs. 47 crore nett, and then it will face a new release, Dhamaal 4, from the second weekend. How far the movie can go from there on will be determined by its hold in the second week. Had the film received positive word-of-mouth, it would have performed much better.

Yash Raj Films, the premier production house of the Hindi film industry, continues to lead by example in these dark days, refusing to indulge in such malpractices regardless of the outcome and accepting success or failure with equal grace.
