Thus, this discovery was made by an international team of astronomers led by Ioannis Apergis of the University of Warwick (United Kingdom), and the findings were published on arXiv. Using the 12 Newtonian telescopes, they were able to confirm the results obtained by the TESS satellite.
Named NGTS-39 b, this exoplanet has a radius 1.09 times that of Jupiter and a mass of 1.47 Jupiter masses. It orbits its host star in just 58.2 days, and its temperature is about 519 K. In addition, according to the researchers, it is thought to be composed of hydrogen and helium.
