WWE United States Champion Baron Corbin, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Tatum Paxley, Jade Cargill, B-Fab, Michin, Oba Femi, and The Vision are shown arriving.

Quavo comes out to perform his new song from his album QROMELIFE.

Non-Title Match

Lil Yachty vs. WWE United States Champion Baron Corbin

Referee: Ryan Tran

If Lil Yachty can last five minutes in a match with Baron Corbin, he will give Trick Williams another title opportunity. Corbin gives Yachty one more chance to back out. Yachty takes the microphone and starts to speak before hitting Corbin in the head and picking up a two-count!

The match has begun. Corbin chases him out of the ring. Yachty goes to get into the ring, but Corbin pulls him to the floor. Corbin whips Yachty into the barricade. Yachty’s friends watch on, looking concerned. Corbin drives him into the barricade and clears the commentary table. Yachty’s entourage drags him away, but Corbin attacks them all. We’re down to 3:30 left in this match. Corbin throws Yachty back to the ringside and drags him away from the ring apron, but Yachty has a Trick Stick and smashes Corbin in the head with it several times. Corbin is bleeding from the ear. Yachty gets Corbin into the ring and hits him with the stick again. Corbin pops up and clotheslines him down.

Corbin grabs one of Yachty’s entourage and hits him with a Deep Six. Another guy gets an End of Days. Yachty hits Corbin with a flying hurricanrana off the second rope for a two-count. Yachty follows up with a diving crossbody block for a two-count. Corbin quickly catches Yachty with the End of Days. There’s still 1:30 left. Corbin smirks and punches away at Yachty. Corbin hits him with another End of Days. Corbin goes under the ring, and we’re under a minute. Corbin gets a table and sets it up with 30 seconds left. Corbin puts Yachty on the top rope for a superplex through the table, but Yachty crotches him on the top rope. Yachty successfully survives five minutes with Corbin.

Winner: Lil Yachty

An irate Corbin grabs Yachty and gives him a chokeslam through the table. Corbin must defend the title against Trick Williams right now!

WWE United States Championship

Baron Corbin (c) vs. Trick Williams

Referee: Ryan Tran

Williams takes Corbin down with a side kick and clotheslines him over the top rope. Williams bounces Corbin off the commentary table several times and rolls into the ring to break the referee’s count. Williams checks on Lil Yachty, who is down at ringside. Corbin punches Williams and drives him into the ring post. Corbin then tosses Yachty into the timekeeper’s area. Williams comes off the apron with a diving clothesline. Williams gets Corbin into the ring and clotheslines him before sending him into the ropes for a flapjack. Williams kips up and gets the crowd going. Williams stomps Corbin in the corner before hitting a Death Valley Driver for a two-count.

Williams gets up and goes to the opposite corner. Williams charges, but Corbin drops him on the apron. Williams punches Corbin, but Corbin soon snaps him off the top rope. Corbin knocks him off the apron and into the commentary table. Corbin drives Williams into the ring steps twice. Corbin sends Williams into the ring and sends him into the ropes for a back elbow. 1… Williams kicks out. Corbin viciously elbows Williams in the chest and smiles at the crowd as they boo. Corbin applies a head-and-arm submission, but Williams fights up and elbows out. Williams hits the ropes, but Corbin clotheslines him down. Corbin shouts that Williams wanted this. Corbin hits a modified Deep Six for a near fall. Corbin goes back to the head-and-arm submission. Williams is bleeding from the mouth. Williams fights up, hits the ropes, and ducks a clothesline. They then take each other out with a double clothesline.

They slowly get up and trade punches. Williams ducks a right hand and hits a neckbreaker. Williams goes for a spinning kick, but Corbin counters with a chokeslam for a near fall. Corbin lifts Williams, but Williams slides off and hits a Book End. Williams gets fired up, but Corbin sidesteps a Trick Shot and hits the Deep Six for a near fall. Williams avoids an avalanche and hits a bulldog. Williams kicks Corbin, knocking him out of the ring. Corbin crawls over to the United States Championship and pulls it off the pedestal. Lil Yachty appears and grabs the title. Williams catches Corbin with a Trick Kick! 1… 2… Corbin kicks out! The referee checks on Lil Yachty, so Corbin uses the distraction to hit Williams with the title. 1… 2… Williams kicks out! Corbin is irate and goes for End of Days, but Williams flips through, hits the ropes, and hits the Trick Shot for the win!

Winner by Pinfall and new WWE United States Champion: Trick Williams

Trick Williams and Lil Yachty stand on the commentary table with the United States Championship as pyrotechnics go off.

A fun opening to #SNME. Lots of action in the first 30 minutes of this show. It was pretty funny to watch Lil Yachty survive the 5 minutes. That involved a ton of smoke and mirrors. We see shots of “The Ruler” Oba Femi and Bron Breakker walking backstage. Who is the future of WWE? Michael Cole says, “Oba. Brock. Next!”

WWE is coming to Perth, Australia in December with Raw, SmackDown, and WrestlePalooza.

Paul Heyman is in the ring and gives an energetic introduction for Bron Breakker. World Tag Team Champion Bron Breakker comes out and stares at Heyman. Breakker wants Heyman to do the introduction for Oba Femi, which he does.

World Tag Team Champion Bron Breakker vs. “The Ruler” Oba Femi

Referee: Eddie Orengo

The bell rings, and the match to determine The Future of WWE is underway. Breakker and Femi coldly stare at each other. They slowly circle the ring before locking up. Femi pushes Breakker into the corner. They get into a shoving match before locking up. Breakker shoves Femi off and barks. Breakker hooks a side headlock. Femi lifts him before whipping him off. Femi absorbs a shoulder tackle, as does Breakker. Breakker hits the ropes for a lightning-quick attack, but Femi shoulder tackles him down. Femi charges for a running uppercut, but Breakker bails out of the ring. Breakker is holding his left shoulder at ringside. Femi attacks Breakker from behind and punches him. Femi lifts Breakker and drops him face-first on the apron. Femi bounces him off the apron and goes to lawn dart him into the ring post, but Breakker slides off. Breakker gets on the apron and charges, but Femi smashes him on the chest with a chop. Breakker looks stunned on the apron.

Femi gets in the ring as Breakker tries to regain his bearings. Femi quickly clotheslines him over the top rope. Femi clears off the commentary table, but Breakker fights back at him before getting on the apron. Breakker dives and clotheslines Femi over the commentary table! Breakker celebrates. Breakker soon gets Femi into the ring and hits the ropes for a lightning-quick clothesline. Breakker chokes Femi on the middle rope and shoulders him in the midsection several times. Femi reverses a whip to the opposite corner and hits a running uppercut. Femi hits the opposite corner, but Breakker follows him in for a clothesline. Breakker picks Femi up and hits a gutbuster for a near fall. Breakker applies a rear naked choke, but Femi fights up and elbows out. Breakker quickly fires back with a German Suplex for a near fall.

Breakker talks trash to Femi, getting him fired up. Breakker wonders what Femi is the future of. Femi goozles him, but Breakker kicks him in the knee. Breakker hits a scary clothesline over the top rope, but Femi does land on his feet. Breakker drives Femi into the ring apron and puts him back into the ring. Breakker goes to the rear chin lock. Femi fights up, but Breakker knees him in the back. Breakker jumps on his back for a sleeper hold, but Femi backs him into the corner. They trade punches before Breakker knees him in the midsection. Breakker hits the ropes, but Femi uppercuts him. Femi hits the ropes, but Breakker knees him in the face before hitting a release German Suplex. Femi immediately pops up and clotheslines him down. Femi hits a pair of clotheslines and sends him into the corner. Femi hits a modified snake eyes before hitting the ropes for a big boot. Femi hits several running uppercuts to take Breakker down.

Femi sizes Breakker up and goozles him for a chokeslam. 1… 2… Breakker kicks out. Femi goes for a slam, but Breakker rakes the eyes and knocks him out of the ring. Breakker evilly smirks and leaves the ring on the opposite side. Breakker runs around the ring, but Femi wipes him out with a big uppercut! World Tag Team Champion Austin Theory runs to the ringside, but Femi grabs him and slams him through the commentary table. Breakker spears Femi at ringside. Breakker gets Femi into the ring and hits a huge spear! 1… 2… Femi barely kicks out.

Logan Paul runs down with brass knuckles on his hand. The referee immediately ejects Paul from the ringside. As Paul distracts the referee, Maxxine Dupri hands Breakker the brass knuckles. Femi ducks a loaded right hand and lifts Breakker for a release slam. Femi signals for the end, but “Big” Bronson Reed attacks him with a steel chair!

Winner by Disqualification: “The Ruler” Oba Femi

Reed destroys the chair over Femi with smash after smash. Reed puts the chair onto Femi and hits a senton splash. Reed then goes to the top rope and hits a Tsunami! Breakker and Reed embrace before Reed holds Femi up for a massive spear. Reed goes back to the top rope for another Tsunami onto Femi. Reed isn’t satisfied with two, so he goes to the top rope for a third Tsunami. Reed holds Femi back from attacking Breakker, and Breakker hits Femi with a massive spear. Reed is back on the top rope and crushes The Ruler with a fourth Tsunami. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce and other WWE officials run down to get The Vision away from Femi. The Vision stands tall in the ring.

Not a bad match, nor was it a great match with Oba Femi and Bron Breakker. Typical overbooked nonsense, which you had to know was coming for a match like this, which makes you wonder why it needed to happen at all. 6-Woman Tag Team Match

Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Tatum Paxley vs. The Baddies (Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab)

Referee: Daphne LaShaunn

B-Fab will start against Tatum Paxley. B-Fab shoves her before Paxley bends under her. B-Fab avoids a roll-up, and Paxley chops her. Paxley hits a somersault leg drop for a two-count. Paxley applies a front facelock, but B-Fab slings her off. Michin tags in, but Paxley fights her and B-Fab off. Paxley takes them both down. Jade Cargill tags in, but Paxley knocks her out of the ring. Michin drops Paxley on the apron. Paxley avoids an attack from B-Fab and whiffs on a kick to Michin. Cargill attacks Paxley from behind, kneeing her in the face before putting her into the ring. Michin attacks Paxley and covers for a two-count.

Alexa Bliss tags in, and she takes it to B-Fab with strikes before hitting a reverse Natural Selection for a two-count. Bliss boots B-Fab back and comes off the second rope, but B-Fab catches her. Bliss gets out, but B-Fab soon hits a swinging facebuster for a two-count. Jade Cargill tags in and attacks Bliss. Michin is back in with an attack before B-Fab tags in. B-Fab attacks Bliss and then goes after Flair. B-Fab grabs Bliss, but Bliss hits a head-scissor takeover into the turnbuckles.

Flair and Michin tag in. Flair slowly goes to the top rope, so Michin has to literally stop running to wait for her. Flair hits a crossbody block before chopping away at her and slinging her into the turnbuckles. Flair hits a release German Suplex and struts. Flair does some misdirection before delivering a rolling clothesline that Michin again has to stop running to wait for it to happen. Flair hits a Stratusphere for a two-count. Cargill soon tags in and takes it to Flair before slamming her. 1… 2… Paxley breaks it up. B-Fab tackles Paxley, and they sloppily roll out of the ring. Cargill goes for Jaded, but Flair counters with a roll-up that Cargill takes her time going over for. 1… 2… Cargill kicks out. Flair attacks Cargill and hits Michin with a fallaway slam into Cargill. Flair goes to the top rope and hits them with a double moonsault. 1… 2… Cargill kicks out. After a few moments, Paxley stops B-Fab from attacking Flair. They go for stereo Figure Eights on Cargill and B-Fab, but B-Fab kicks Paxley into Flair. Cargill hits Flair with Jaded for the win.

Winners by Pinfall: The Baddies

What an embarrassing mess. Charlotte Flair hasn't been the same since the WrestleMania match against Rhea Ripley in 2023. When she returned, she wasn't the same. She looks awful in the ring. The moves that take forever to set up are so bad. The opponent has to stop moving. #SNME — Wrestleview.com (@wrestleview) September 7, 2026

Flair wasn't the only offender in this match. Nothing looks crisp. It's all "my turn, your turn" nonsense, which is endemic in professional wrestling these days, but most are at least better at smoothing out the transitions than the people in the ring tonight. “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes vs. “The Viper” Randy Orton

Referee: Charles Robinson

As Randy Orton’s music hits, Cody Rhodes spins around to see Orton trying to slither into the ring to attack him from behind. Orton slides away, but Rhodes goes to the ringside to attack him. They brawl at ringside before Rhodes sends him over the barricade into the crowd. They brawl in the crowd. Rhodes grabs a garbage can and hits Orton twice in the skull with it. Rhodes grabs him, but Orton thumbs him in the eye and smashes him with the metal garbage can. Orton slams it onto his back, and Rhodes is stumbling around. Rhodes fights back and sends him into a retaining wall. Rhodes hooks a side headlock and punches him. Orton quickly knees him and slings him over the barricade to the ringside. Orton goes to the ringside and grabs Rhodes. Orton reverses a whip into the steel steps before rolling him into the ring. Orton stares at Brandi Rhodes, who is in the crowd. Rhodes’ mother, Michelle, is also there.

Orton gets into the ring, and the bell rings to start the match. Rhodes attacks and hits a Cody Cutter. Rhodes then applies a Figure Four Leglock. Orton yells in pain, but he soon grabs the bottom rope to break the hold. Orton rolls to the apron, so Rhodes hooks his head for a draping DDT. Orton slides out and snaps Rhodes off the top rope. Orton chokes Rhodes on the middle rope before hitting a guillotine catapult into the bottom rope. Rhodes gasps for air on the ring apron, and Orton stomps him. Rhodes punches away at him and hits the ropes, but Orton hits a back elbow. Orton stomps Rhodes’ hand and hits a front suplex onto the top rope. Orton slams him and stomps him before applying a rear chin lock. Orton goes for a back suplex, but Rhodes flips through and knocks him back. Rhodes then clotheslines him over the top rope.

Rhodes goes to the ringside to get Orton, but Orton thumbs him in the eyes. Orton slams Rhodes onto the commentary table, but Rhodes fights back. The audio in the ring is behind the image, one of a plethora of audio issues tonight. Rhodes does the 10 punches to Orton. Orton rolls out of the ring to recover. Orton quickly hits Rhodes with a pair of back suplexes onto the commentary table. Orton approaches Brandi again. She throws a drink in Orton’s face. Orton gets into the ring, and Rhodes attacks him. Rhodes slingshots over Orton and hits a snap powerslam. Rhodes hits a Disaster Kick, followed by some stinging left jabs and a Bionic Elbow. Rhodes sets up for Cross Rhodes, but Orton thumbs him in the eyes. Rhodes reverses a whip to the corner, but Orton clotheslines him down. Orton soon hits a snap powerslam before hitting his vintage draping DDT.

Orton gets the crowd going and drops down to stalk his prey. Rhodes blocks an RKO and hits Cross Rhodes. 1… 2… Orton kicks out. The crowd chants, “This is awesome.” Rhodes goes for a Cody Cutter, but Orton blocks it. Orton goes for an RKO, but Rhodes counters with a backslide pin for a two-count. Rhodes nearly sends Orton into the referee, but Orton puts the brakes on. Rhodes goes for an avalanche, but Orton sidesteps him, causing Charles Robinson to take the impact. Orton drops Rhodes with an RKO, but there is no referee. Orton takes a lot of time before teasing a Punt. Rhodes avoids it and hits Cross Rhodes. Orton rolls out of the ring. Rhodes hits Orton with a suicide dive, and Orton lands on the referee again!

Rhodes smashes Orton’s face off the ring post several times, stunning The Viper. Rhodes punches Orton in the head before looking at his family. Rhodes grabs the top of the steel steps and drives it into Orton’s skull. Orton is busted open, and Rhodes starts punching away at the wound. Rhodes gets Orton into the ring and hits a super Cody Cutter. Orton is bleeding profusely. Rhodes hits a pair of Cody Cutters before tossing the bloodied Viper aside. Rhodes signals for the end and sets up for a Punt, but Orton begs him off. Rhodes cannot pull the trigger. Orton begs his former mentee off, and Rhodes stands over him.

Referee Eddie Orengo runs down to check on Orton. Rhodes grabs Orton, but Orton low-blows both Rhodes and the referee! Orton drops Rhodes with an RKO. Robinson, the original referee, is back in the ring. 1… 2… 3!

A good main event with Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. I'm just happy to see that the art of telling a story in the ring isn't completely dead. Was it the most compelling story? Debatable, but they stuck with it. #SNME — Wrestleview.com (@wrestleview) September 7, 2026

As usual, the "cinematic delays" stretch things out too far, but the visuals, particularly the blood, were effective. I was expecting Drew McIntyre to interfere because I'm so conditioned to think any big match will have interference, but it was mostly a straight-up match. #SNME — Wrestleview.com (@wrestleview) September 7, 2026

Overall, this show was a mixed bag. The title change was a good way to kick off the show, but Femi vs. Breakker was a bit of a disappointment, with the never-ending doubling down on the bad Vision storyline; the women's match was a mess, and the main event was good. #SNME — Wrestleview.com (@wrestleview) September 7, 2026

WWE acknowledged the passing of Bill Dundee this week. Unless I missed it, there was nothing for “The Butcher” Andy Williams.

Williams was only 48 years old and reportedly died after collapsing during a match. He was also an AEW guy. Draw your own conclusions. #SNME — Wrestleview.com (@wrestleview) September 7, 2026

Maybe WWE doesn’t want to acknowledge a 48-year-old wrestler dying. Maybe it’s because he worked for the competition. I don’t know.
