Upcoming Toyota Cars – Next-gen Fortuner
The Fortuner is long overdue for an update, and it could finally be here. The next-gen Toyota is expected to launch next year with a refreshed look and tons of modern amenities. The next-gen model is expected to come equipped with a 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, Level-2 ADAS, powered and ventilated front seats and much more. The reliable 2.7-litre petrol and 2.8-litre diesel engines are set to carry over to the next-gen model. All these updates will come at a cost as we expect the next-gen model to get a Rs 2 lakh hike over the current price range of Rs 41.63 lakh and Rs 62.47 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Hyryder Facelift
The Urban Cruiser Hyryder is one of Toyota’s best-selling models, and it could finally be getting an update. With the facelift, the feature list could get 2 new additions: Level-2 ADAS and an electric tailgate. The powertrain options are expected to remain unchanged. The same 1.5-litre NA petrol and 1.5-litre petrol-hybrid could be offered with the facelift. Currently, the Hyryder costs between Rs 13.27 lakh and Rs 24.51 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), and the top variant could see a Rs 1 lakh price increase due to the addition of ADAS. Speculation suggests it could launch in the second half of 2027.

Upcoming Toyota Cars – Glanza Hybrid
Maruti is developing its in-house series-hybrid powertrain, and we expect Toyota to benefit from it soon. The Glanza could be the first Toyota model to adopt Maruti’s hybrid tech. The hybrid is expected to be powered by the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z-series engine currently used in the Swift and Dzire. The Glanza is quite feature-rich, and the same would hold true for the hybrid. We expect it to be offered with a wireless charger, an electric sunroof, a 360-degree camera, a heads-up display and many such modern amenities. We could see the Glanza hybrid by mid-2027. Importantly, the Glanza hybrid could be priced around Rs 9-12 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), and would make HEVs more affordable than ever.

Taisor Flex Fuel
Maruti Fronx Flex Fuel Used For Reference
With the stricter Ethanol norms, a Toyota flex-fuel car seems inevitable. After all, it only needs to borrow Maruti’s technology. The Taisor could be the first E100-compliant Toyota in India. The flex-fuel Taisor is expected to be offered with a 1.2-litre NA engine that has been tweaked to withstand heavy ethanol blends. Maruti is set to launch the Fronx flex-fuel on the 5th of June, which means the Taigun could be launched in the following months. The feature list would remain identical to the standard version. As for the pricing, it could be priced around Rs 8-13 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Upcoming Toyota Cars – Toyota Taisor Hybrid
Along with the flex fuel, we expect the Taisor to also get a hybrid powertrain. It would share the powertrains with other Maruti hybrids like the Fronx, Baleno and Swift. Reports indicate that a 1.2-litre NA petrol will power the Taisor hybrid. To set the hybrid apart from the standard versions, we could see it get features like an ADAS suite. The rest of the feature list is expected to remain untouched. We expect the Taisor hybrid to be launched in the later parts of 2027. As for pricing, it could be priced around Rs 10-15 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), making it one of the most affordable hybrid SUVs in India.
