Among Yamaha models, FZ recorded 40,415 units, followed by R15 at 28,130 units and MT-15 at 26,414 units.
R15 delivered an impressive 84.04% YoY growth, while the newly launched XSR added 17,700 units during the quarter.
India’s 150cc-200cc motorcycle segment continued its strong growth trajectory in June 2026, recording healthy gains on a year-on-year basis. Combined sales stood at 1,77,866 units, up 32.25% from 1,34,491 units sold in June 2025. However, compared to May 2026, volumes declined by 7.64%, with 14,710 fewer units dispatched.
150cc to 200cc Motorcycle Sales June 2026
TVS Apache retained its position as the best-selling motorcycle in the segment with 55,382 units sold in June. Sales increased by 33.82% YoY from 41,386 units, helping Apache command a 31.14% share of the segment. It also recorded a modest 2.75% MoM growth over May’s 53,900 units. Bajaj Pulsar ranked second with 40,730 units, registering a healthy 21.18% YoY growth. However, sequential sales declined by 18.53%, with dispatches falling from 49,994 units in May.
Honda Unicorn completed the top three with 37,617 units, posting one of the strongest performances among volume models. Sales surged 42.69% YoY and also improved 7.71% over May. The Unicorn accounted for 21.15% of total segment sales in June. Together, Apache, Pulsar and Unicorn contributed 1,33,729 units, accounting for more than 75% of all motorcycles sold in the 150cc-200cc category during the month.
Yamaha Portfolio Sees Mixed Performance
Yamaha MT-15 recorded sales of 10,094 units, improving 41.71% YoY and 5.38% MoM. Yamaha R15 also delivered a strong year-on-year performance, more than doubling sales to 9,261 units, up 111.44% from 4,380 units in June last year. However, it registered a slight 5.53% decline compared to May. Yamaha FZ witnessed the opposite trend. Sales declined 8.76% YoY to 9,824 units and dropped sharply by 33.90% on a month-on-month basis. The newly introduced Yamaha XSR registered 4,199 units in June. Since the motorcycle was not on sale in June 2025, year-on-year comparison is not applicable.
KTM’s 160cc-200cc range recorded 3,320 units, up 48.68% YoY, while Hero Xpulse 200 improved 24.61% to 2,957 units. Honda SP160 reported a marginal 4.58% YoY decline to 2,271 units, while Hero Xtreme 160 recorded the highest percentage growth in the segment at 488.24%, albeit on a relatively small base, with sales increasing from 153 units to 900 units.
Further down the order, Suzuki Gixxer declined 35% to 726 units. Honda Hornet 2.0 and CB200X also witnessed steep declines of 55.80% and 64.39%, respectively. Bajaj Avenger and Kawasaki W175 reported zero dispatches during the month.

Looking at the entire April-June period, TVS Apache maintained its leadership with 1,58,672 units, up 16.57% YoY and accounting for 28.51% of total segment sales. Bajaj Pulsar followed with 1,38,914 units, registering a 24.23% increase over Q2 2025. Honda Unicorn emerged as one of the biggest gainers among high-volume motorcycles, with sales rising 38.10% to 1,11,852 units.

KTM’s 160cc-200cc motorcycles posted 49.61% growth to 9,400 units, while Hero Xpulse 200 and Hero Xtreme 160 also reported healthy gains. In contrast, Suzuki Gixxer, Honda Hornet 2.0, Honda CB200X, Bajaj Avenger and Kawasaki W175 ended the quarter with declining sales.
